CLASSIC WEDDING CAKES

Classic wedding cakes are the traditional cakes that are popular here in the Philippines.

It is usually made of chiffon cake, a light and airy foam type cake that is preferred for its softness and mild, sweet taste.

Our multi-layered classic wedding cakes are quoted on an all real cake basis - all layers are real cake. We are known for our thick layered cakes made by sandwiching two layers and your choice of filling ( chocolate fudge, caramel or yema filling ). Each completed cake layer with filling is about 4 inches in height.

The cakes are frosted with soft meringue/marshmallow icing that can be colored to suit your chosen design. The icing remains soft yet it will not melt at room temperature. It is, however quite delicate in very humid conditions ( rainy season ) so it is recommended that the cake be stored in an airconditioned room.

 Our cakes are freshly baked to order and will usually have a shelf life of 3 days at room temperature. We recommend storing the left-overs in the refrigerator - well wrapped and preferably in an air-tight container.

FONDANT WEDDING CAKES

Fondant cakes are named after the type of icing used on the cake - FONDANT.

Fondant icing is a smooth, pliable sugar paste made of gelatin, corn syrup and powdered sugar. It gives the covered cake a very smooth surface and at the same time, preserves the cake inside it. It is a very dense and heavy type of icing therefore the cake should be dense and firm enough to support the fondant.

We use a butter type cake such as our rhum butter cake and supermoist chocolate or cakes made with fruits and nuts such as apple walnut or carrot raisin.

Our fondant cake prices are based on a: BOTTOM layer REAL cake only. Other layers will have styrofoam dummy cakes to ensure safe handling and delivery.
